Blackfeather - I like that name - it fits him. While on the one hand it could denote a shiny beautiful feather from a black winged creature of some sort, it also brings to mind a _blackened_ feather, eg. from dirt and grime...etc.
:)
Why the huge space before the names? Formatting?
And who is this mysterious troubled friend of Isi's?
Joyful One, thanks for your comment! Yes, having some formatting issues with this invisible table of mine but decided to leave it for now as the point of the blog is to facilitate writing and not necessarily so much to encourage my playing around with html...
And glad you like the name Blackfeather. I imagine maybe he actually chose it for himself as a kind of name that the settlers/soldiers would expect the Indians to have, etc. And he named himself Jim. Jim does trade with the setters/soldiers, selling them crafts(beads, sewing), furs (maybe), moccasins, etc in return for their alcohol, apparel, etc. that he can sell back in the community.
